Their software business was born out of necessity. In 1990, their core business was Image Management providing high resolution print proofs for Nike, Freightliner and other companies. Back then they hired a local shuttle service to drive proofs back and forth for the mandatory sign-offs, and as you can imagine, the change requests made this a very time-consuming process.
