Cramlr is a startup located in Munich, Germany. As part of Macmillan’s Digital Education division the company belongs to the George von Holtzbrinck publishing house. Over 9.000 users registered for the private beta version and tested it for several weeks. Besides the currently available English and German website, there will be soon a Brazilian and Thai version coming. (stand 04/13) The free flashcard app is currently only available for iPhone users (iOS 5 or a higher version) (stand 04/13) On the website users can sign up for free, create and study flashcards at their own pace. To study more effectively, the Leitner algorithm supports the learning effect. To make studying more vivid, users can choose between the classical flashcard mode (question – answer) and the multiple choice mode (question – several answers). Another extra is easy-to-use picture upload. With a concluding test, users can check their learn efforts.
