Correx is a medical device company located in Waltham, Massachusetts. It was founded in 2004 for the sole purpose of commercializing products for Aortic Valve Bypass (AVB). The Correx team is uniquely qualified to develop products for AVB. Their Cardiothoracic Surgeons include Dr. John W. Brown, who during the 1970s developed the AVB procedure as it is performed today, and Dr. James S. Gammie, who has performed more AVB procedures in the past five years than any other surgeon. The founding CEO and engineering team represent over a century of experience at early-stage companies, MIT, and UMass Medical School.
