Althea Health is a San Francisco based healthcare startup. Their platform brings together the power of smartphones, connected health devices, EMR data and user-generated data to social networks interested in advancing research into rare and neglected diseases. Althea’s mission was born out of one of their founder’s personal experience with a complex, undiagnosed condition. They strive to provide communities dealing with complex health issues the tools to develop collective health insights and join with other like minded individuals and health researchers to accelerate discovery of new cures and standards of care.
