Copper Mountain Networks develops digital subscriber line (DSL) communications products that enable high-speed broadband connectivity over existing copper phone lines. Copper Mountain sells the majority of its products, including VantEdge Access Broadband Remote Access Server (BRAS), CopperEdge Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) Concentrators, and CopperView Network Management Software Tools (CNMS) directly to local phone carriers and ISPs in the US. The company had an initial public offering in 1999 and then was acquired by Tut Systems in 2005, which was acquired by Motorola in 2007.
