Cool Power Products Limited (CPP) was established in 2007 to develop and commercialise an innovative control product for use with on-site generators powered by renewable energy (wind, solar and hydro). This product, which is known as EMMA (Energy and Micro-generation Manager). EMMA maximises the use and value of electricity produced onsite and optimises the import and export of power with reference to local tariffs, grid capacity, and market 59 value, total system output and planned and unforeseen system outages. It can also be used to facilitate gridconnection of generators with peak outputs that exceed maximum site export capacities.
