Community Foster Care was set up in February 1999 following a grant from Gloucestershire County Council and the European Union under a 'Return To Work' scheme. They are a not for profit organisation. This means they have charity status and they work as a social enterprise putting any surplus they make into improving services and creating new ones so that children and young people placed with them have all the help they need to reach their potential. They work closely with their foster carers, supporting each other and ensuring the children and young people have a sense of belonging.
