Clevertar is based on the science that humans are remarkably social animals, so much so that people experience physical pain when they are socially rejected or disapproved. Computers traditionally have no social skills whatsoever – they are tools, not social companions. Clevertar Virtual Humans are challenging this notion. Our Virtual Humans are simulations of human-like conversation partners interacting with people through speech, gaze, gesture, and other behaviours that can communicate not just meaning, but also attentiveness, positive affect, and attraction.
