CartiONE is the first cartilage repair technology that uses patient’s own chondrocytes to generate hyaline cartilage in one surgery. Cartilage Repair Systems (CRS) is a newly established Joint Preservation company developing and commercialising technologies in the fields of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. In March 2017, CRS acquired CellCoTec B.V in the Netherlands. Its core technology is CartiONE, a ONE hour service that provides surgeons with the patient’s own (autologous) freshly isolated chondrocytes and bone marrow cells for use in ONE surgical procedure. This cell service can be used with all other commercially available chondral / osteo-chondral membranes or scaffolds. Cartione is available in both the USA and the EU.
