CapitaliSE was formed in 2002 as a local response to the Bank of England report into finance for social enterprise. In 2008, CapitaliSE Financial Solutions incorporated as a community interest company, and has operated since then as a self-sustaining social enterprise. They promote greater social and economic inclusion by supporting better access to finance for social enterprise activity within the third sector.
