Our values are a fusion of traditional family business values embedded into a modern 21st century world environment. A continuos source for their entrepreneurial inspiration is their founder's Great Uncle Wilhelm F. Baecker, who founded the Westfälische Essenzen Fabrik (WEF) KG in 1911 in Dortmund at the age of 21 and developed it into a global (hidden) champion for industrial essences, which he sold in 1972 to Riedel de Haen, when Ulf was at the age of 8 years.
