Nonprofit, social enterprise, whose mission is to provide affordable cellular coverage and data service to subscribers in unserved/underserved, marginalized rural regions of the developing world, by enabling villages to deploy and operate self-sustaining, scalable, eco-friendly, community-owned GSM telecom networks and wireless ISPs. brubru is also engaged in local capacity building and empowerment, by providing free technical education and hands-on training. Furthermore, brubru enables communities to improve local social services, such as clinics and schools.
