Brouwer Biocentrale BV was founded by brothers Paul and Henk Brouwer. Besides the Biocentrale they also own VofABrouwer & Sons and MSE Mulchservice GmbH. The firm Brouwer is a family business which is mainly focused on green projects. Brouwer Biocentrale eg going from November 2017 steam supply to the nearby FrieslandCampina. FrieslandCampina will therefore 5.5 million cubic meters of natural gas replaced by steam. The electricity produced will be supplied to the grid.
