Brots is a music-based platform built around streaming platforms that allow users to discover new emerging artists and make new friends, with the common denominator being the passion for the same music. Users discover music by listening to a thirty-second snippet, which they then rate using a swipe-based system. By analyzing their evaluations, Brots’ algorithm suggests upcoming live events near their area, as well as people they share the same musical taste with. Users can interact in-app by inviting each other to live events or suggesting songs based on their moods. Although we are not a streaming platform like Shazam, we drive traffic to music streaming platforms, where users can listen to the entire song.
