BrightSign is a data glove wired with sensors to translate sign language hand gestures to text and speech. BrightSign has all hardware embedded in the design of the glove and does not require any smart devices for output. There is a small screen to display the words and a small speaker to speak out the words. They are a motivated team with expertise in Design, Programming and Technology. They have dedicated years of research to develop multiple assistive technology innovations for the sole purpose of facilitating daily communication for individuals with non-verbal disabilities. Their goal is to liberate millions of speech disabled people from the accompanying interpreter and enable them to interact directly with the public.
