In 2012 Blue Sky diversified its core model from solely employing ex-offenders in the community to offering work to serving prisoners. They formed a subsidiary company, Blue Sky Inside, to create a manufacturing and service industry inside prisons. The threefold objectives are: To secure commercial and value-added contracts with private sector companies who have previously not considered this as an option To create employment and training opportunities within prison To provide our workforce with support and guidance on employment and housing prior to release and through the gate By achieving these objectives we aim to reduce the cycle of reoffending and its high cost to society.
