The National Biodiesel Foundation and co-sponsor NBB hosted the Sustainable Biodiesel: Improving the Environment & Economy Tour on September 17th. The tour was designed to provide participants with a better understanding of the environmental and economic impacts of biodiesel and renewable diesel. Speakers highlighted technological advancements that are improving the efficiency and carbon footprint of biodiesel around the United States. The tour included time to exchange ideas about biodiesel and energy policy. Participants will visit the Sacramento County Fleet Services Facility & Sacramento Rendering Company. Discussions and presentations include a biodiesel overview, California biomass diesel, the California Low Carbon Fuel Standard and California’s energy resources and biomass capacity
