Address book data is dynamic in reality, but static on a users device. It must be updated manually in order to be usable. The UpBook mobile app is an address book/contact list enhancement that automatically keeps information up to date for opt-in contacts in a user's address book of choice. All information is local to the user's device and never shared with any central infrastructure, unlike the major social media platforms. The app uses standard messaging and the native capabilities of devices to operate the system. All install, set up, and information operations are controlled by the user with minimum friction and interaction.
