About company
Omerta Game is the company behind the Omerta online game. Their game communities are player-lead and have shaped unique niche-products - independent online games without top-down management - a product designed according to passionate grass-roots community support. Their project grew quickly, so they founded a UK-based company to take care of the business, and brought in more and better-skilled friends, strongly maintaining the founding ethos of the game itself. They are still based in the UK, with an office there and offices in Hong Kong and Lisbon, additional full-time home-working colleagues in The Netherlands, the USA and Turkey, and an enormous volunteer diaspora who are internationally based, taking care of game administration, customer services, player administration, design-support, and translation. Omerta Game was established in 2003 by an ad-hoc group of web-friends, to take care of the web-game 'Omerta'.
