Ballinliss Forge, Newry take pride in producing unique and traditional black smith services that guaranteed to meet everyone’s needs. Ballinliss Forge is owned by Gerard Loughran AWCB. Gerard has over 30 years blacksmithing experience. Gerard has been awarded Diploma of Merit, Work of Distinction in the Craft of the Blacksmith from the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths London. Traditional blacksmithing techniques are used to replicate heritage iron work including tenon, riveting, scroll and leaf making. We use a range of materials including real wrought iron, mild steel, stainless steel, copper and brass. We work closely with our clients from design to finished product, sketches and samples can be provided to meet the client’s requirements. We provide a wide range of metal work designs, such as stairs and balustrades, bespoke commission designs, specialise in heritage/ conservation projects, gates and railing.
