Baby Hero is a socially responsible children’s clothing brand that aims to reduce infant deaths by selling organic products and funding Neonatal Survival Kits for needy mothers and newborns in rural areas. Every time a customer buys a baby onesie or baby t-shirt from Baby Hero, the company funds a Neonatal Survival Kit to rural areas where maternal and infant mortality rates are high such as Rahim Yar Khan in Punjab and Pakistan. The kit includes a clean birth kit with tools for sterile delivery, a bottle of chlorhexidine lotion that prevents infection in the umbilical stump, and a bottle of sunflower emollient that prevents infection and heat-loss in the infant. Baby Hero was co-founded by Alicia Wieser and Samar Shaheryar in 2013 and is based in Hong Kong.
