Avocet Mining PLC (Avocet) is a West African gold mining and exploration company. The Company operates the Inata gold mine in Burkina Faso and has exploration projects in Burkina Faso and Guinea. Its segments include the UK; Burkina Faso, which includes the Inata mine, as well as exploration activity within the Belahouro license area, and Guinea, which includes the Tri-K project. The Inata gold mine is an open pit gold mine located in northern Burkina Faso. The Company's Souma project is located approximately 20 kilometers east of the Inata processing plant. In Guinea, the Company owns interests in the Tri-K project, which is based on the development of the oxide portion of the orebody by way of heap leaching. The Inata and Souma projects comprise approximately 4.2 million ounces at a grade of over 1.69 grams per ton gold, and includes an ore reserve of over 0.24 million ounces at a grade of over 1.48 grams per ton gold.
