We believe that everyone should own their own data, control who has access to it, and to be able to update it in real-time across any platform. In fact, new privacy regulations are going to demand this. How do we do it? We believe the only way to do this is at the network level by introducing a new protocol to the internet. Just as HTTP changed the world and opened up hundreds of new companies and ecosystems we believe the @ protocol will do the same. Think of the @ protocol as a distributed system like DNS but for people, entities, and things.
