Artamata has a strong history of graphics, image processing and art related software. In the 1990s They developed Professor Franklin’s Instant Photo Effects which was one of the first photo editing software aimed at novices in the then-nascent digital photography revolution. They also developed one of the first ever printed greeting card service that was licensed by Plaxo. They recognized the transition to mobile very early and started working on Windows Mobile well before the iPhone was announced.
