After a long product development and testing period, Amandan's technology was found to be functional and to be used by people. When a technology-based product was started to design, Panu Valla had three important values: clinical evidence, high quality and ecology. The product was intended to be so good that it would last forever and its impact on the environment would be minimal. The energy consumption of previous cold therapy technologies, such as cold storage and high-temperature cold rooms, was perceived to be too large on a large scale. Cold therapy has traditionally been practiced in pure northern nature, under natural conditions. This same way of working was to be followed in the productisation of new technology.
