In 2016, Altave gained international notoriety due to its success in the implementation of four wide-area persistent surveillance balloons in the RIO 2016 Olympic Games, ensuring the safety of all Olympic venues in Rio de Janeiro. Altave was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
