ALR Innovations Ltd is a spin-out from the University of Limerick. The company has developed an automated recycling technology for Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) units. The technology is the first of its kind and is a fully automated solution to the problem of removing hazardous materials from waste LCDs. The opportunity is directly driven by international regulatory directives on the mandatory removal of hazardous materials from LCDs. ALR Innovations won the Best High Growth Company at the InterTrade-Ireland Seedcorn Competition in 2011. In 2012, ALR won the Limerick Enterprise Accelereation Award from Limerick Institute of Technology.
