Train It to Win It: AdapTac Games creates mobile and online games for teens with attention and planning (executive function) as a safer alternative to improve their performance at school and in daily living. A survey of families of children with ADHD indicated that all respondents (100%) want another option. While they can take standard psychostimulants, up to 64% of patients either don't take them or stop taking them due to poor efficacy, side effects and high cost. Drug shortages are also common given that 10% of US children have ADHD and the number is rising rapidly (66% increase over 10 years). AdapTac has developed an education-based solution: a series of mobile and online strategy/action video games that build practice of attention and planning into fun games.
