Able Wireless is an on-demand Wireless Streaming Service Provider in Kenya. They provide caching equipment which sits locally at the edge of the network and reduces the distance of travel for content, reduces operator capex and opex by 83% and creates true real infrastructure on the ground that is local and available. Part of the infrastructure is a household set-top box that is made from a modified Raspberry Pi which allows us to deliver on a proven and tested platform. The device also further creates a Wireless Hotspot which can deliver access for 2 devices in the home. With the cost reductions in infrastructure, and with 24 month commitment from our customers, we are able to deliver service at approximately US$6 per customer.
