I recently purchased 5m2 of expensive, specially made tiles through an Adelaide tile specialist. The retailer was excellent but what I received can only be described as "factory seconds".
roughly half of them had chipped back edges and on several the chips extended to the front surface. The glazing hand run onto the back surface of the tiles and the tiles were of inconsistent size, varying by over 1mm so the spacing and grouting looks terrible. I thought I was paying a premium for good quality but I was wrong!!! I would NOT buy them again!
