Senior management priorities do not reflect charity values
During my time working as their financial accountant, I became increasingly concerned with how the organisation was being run. In my opinion, the focus was not on supporting the vulnerable, but rather on maintaining a comfortable lifestyle for senior management. I personally witnessed decisions that made me question fairness, transparency, and accountability.
From my perspective, the vulnerable were not treated with the dignity and priority they deserved, while senior leadership benefited from generous pay and perks. As someone in finance, I also felt there was a lack of openness around how resources were managed, which left me uneasy.
In my view, this charity could achieve far more good if it placed genuine care for the vulnerable above personal benefit at the top levels of management.
