Missed deadlines and abysmal customer communication
I'm not sure what changes occurred over the last 2 years, but I am very frustrated with Brooks & Associates’ (B&A’s) ability to meet deadlines, communicate, and take responsibility for missed deadlines.
The past 2 years I have provided a full and detailed tax organizer along with substantiating spreadsheets before the due date set by B&A. In both cases, B&A missed the April filing deadline without so much as an email or call beforehand. I had to call B&A to find out the status and then call multiple times to check on status. B&A did not initiate one phone call or email to provide the status of my return. The return was finally completed at the end of June, and I believe that only happened because of my calls to the office pushing to get it done. And not once was there an acknowledgement or apology for the missed deadline and poor communication. I will not use this CPA again.
