I had previously posted a one star review for their negotiating tactics, I am a new home buyer, found a home that I loved, long story long, made an offer both informally and formally with the help of my former realtor. My offer was accepted, and although it is customary practice for the seller to negotiate offers, in this case the seller with the use of his realtors, used my offer to manipulate not only the prices but the people in the situation. They seem to only think of the buyer/investor in this case and the potential money grab and not the buyers on the other side, that are purchasing a first-time home or forever home and there are emotions involved, and it is not "just" a financial transaction for them. that when you accept multiple offers, they should be more open and honest with disclosing this information. Instead, they accepted an offer after I had my inspection done and contract written only to send a text to my realtor that they accepted a higher offer and didn't even give me the opportunity to counter. A few days later I found a new realtor through my lawyer, who came highly recommended and I countered back, my realtor even waived part of his commission. which then followed with wo more days of negotiations of terms, such as closing date, proof of financing, increased signing amount, waiving corrections that needed to be made from the inspection that were done incorrectly, and the kicker...REMOVING MY NEGATIVE REVIEW FROM THIS VERY WEBSITE! all which and I quote " removing the only negative review our company has it will definitely be a step in the right direction of getting the offer accepted" (Justin), which I in fact removed With the understand it would further my chances along with all of the other hoops they made me jump through in order to prove how serious I was, yet every time they needed just one more thing to possibly seal the deal and literally had all of it in a moments notice. My realtor and George seemed to have a great rapport in any ill world between myself and vantage realty for the previous mishap the week prior was water under the bridge, even with my written apology for texts/emails that I had sent stating how upset and angered I was at their actions for being lied to and deliberately deceived, or so I thought until Justin decided to insert himself into the situation and then strangely it all went south.
With that being said, that night my attorney received an email from the sellers attorney confirming the price and the next day emails were exchanged between lawyers, contract was signed by me and sent over, their wire instructions were sent , only to once again receive a text at the very last minute that the seller accepted the other higher offer, the one in which they used my offer to manipulate the other buyer, after they manipulated and used me all week long and dangled the carrot only to pull it away again. Not only mentally and emotionally exhausting me and playing with my emotions. using my time, the time of my realtor, my banker, my lawyer and everyone involved. it was deceptive and extremely hurtful, I am the fool for playing their deceitful game, because for them that is all it was, and I was a pawn. I do not want to hear about how they have to do what the seller wants, they are the mouthpiece for the seller, and it all comes down to being conscientious of people's feelings and how to navigate the situation. which they have NO knowledge of. they are ruthless and George, while claiming he is honest and upfront, at the end, played quite the opposite hand. The fact that he and Justin both went silent for the next 12 hours and hid because they knew EXACTLY what they did. I will not only leave a review here, but word of mouth speaks volumes. I am lucky to not live in a house with inspection issues that the seller didn't even want to resolve. get in and get out, that is their Motto no matter what the cost or who they use or hurt in the process.
