To New Learners Considering GLOBAL DRIVING SCHOOL

This message is for anyone in the process of selecting a driving school. I strongly urge you to read this before choosing GLOBAL DRIVING SCHOOL and their instructors expertise. I’m sharing my experience so others don’t face what I went through—being misled and disappointed despite spending time, money, and effort.
I completed 19 hours of driving lessons with GLOBAL DRIVING SCHOOL as a new driver in the UK. Unfortunately, my inexperience was taken advantage of, and I ended up wasting both hours and money due to poor instruction and disorganization.
Here are the key issues I faced:
Initial Instructor – Deep Grewal (4 hours):
After a few lessons, he abruptly stopped teaching, claiming he was traveling abroad. No proper handover or continuity in training.
Next Instructor – Meena Kumari (15 hours):
The first 4–5 hours were helpful, covering some basics I missed with the previous instructor. However, after that, the lessons lost focus.
She repeatedly took me only on calm, low-traffic roads and avoided progressing to more complex driving scenarios. When I questioned this, she said I was not ready, citing a missed concept. But provided little effort to actually teach those concepts. Despite having dual controls for safety, she seemed hesitant and often demoralized me stating it is a risk for her to take main roads etc . If so, why should she have been an instructor? After 19 hours total, I was still stuck with only basic driving experience.
Reality Check:
To validate my ability, I purchased my own car. I was able to drive on calm and major roads confidently—with help from instructors at another school. That speaks volumes. However there was feedback to improve, that was expected for a learner like myself.
Interaction with Management:
When I raised my concerns with the manager, Kam, I was asked if I was ready for a mock test. I explained that I first needed to cover the advanced lessons. Kam then promised that the school’s director would personally help and booked a lesson for 26/06/2025 at 12:00 PM. I took time off work and blocked my calendar—but no one contacted me or showed up. No calls. No follow-up.
Final Note to Learners:
Please learn from my experience. Don’t let your time, money, and progress go to waste. Set your expectations clearly, and be cautious before committing.
Important:
I’ve heard negative reviews are often deleted to maintain a falsely positive image. If this message is removed, I will report the matter to the DVSA with proof. I hope it won’t come to that.
Thanks,
Naga
