Purple cactus ruined my mental health and made me drop out of university
I went for a viewing at a studio and fell in love with it in October of my first year as my second-year property sent all the information over. Everything was confirmed via text message, and sent over the deposit. It got to two weeks before the moving-in date and hadn't signed an agreement and no contract was sent over. So I called them and was told that my room had been given to somebody else due to an admin error and that they were 'so sorry' but couldn't change it. They took me to other properties and ended up with a studio and a contract that I did not want to be in, WITH NO EXIT CLAUSE! This property did not match what I wanted from the place I was originally promised and my mental health took a huge deplete partly for this reason. I was nowhere near any of my friends and have since had to remove myself from the university for my health and safety.
