I have a complaint about the care and treatment at the Johannan Etiene Hospital.

I come from the Netherlands and was in Germany for work. I got uncomfortable with a customer. The customer called the emergency number.

The customer called the company and they called my wife. My wife drove to the hospital. The journey takes 3 hours. When entering the country, a corona test must first be carried out. My explained that she had just come from the Netherlands and that I had been admitted urgently. That's your problem. Test first. My wife then explained that the journey took 3 hours and she could use at least one toilet. That's your problem, no. The car was in the parking garage and it was quiet there and my wife had to pee behind the car if necessary.

When I got to the hospital, I was admitted after the first aid kit.
The reception in this department was cool, but correct. I had to constantly give my data and medication several times. This has always been misunderstood or lost.
After 24 hours I was transferred to another ward.
This is where the problems started. The nurses were unfriendly and didn't explain anything to me. For example, where was the shower, where are the towels and where do you get a bottle of water?
No answers were given to questions about what kind of investigations take place and what the results are. What and why drugs changed, the doctor decided not to intervene.
The department is in the old building. It's not clean here, stains on the walls and floor. I was lying next to an incontinent patient. When it was changed there was no curtain or screen around the bed. There is no privacy for patients and this just happens even when you are eating. You understand that I left the room and therefore did not eat anything.
Passed on our home data and insurance several times. This was always not understood and in the end you had to arrange it yourself at the reception. We don't feel like it because it's easy to arrange.
Arrived at the reception also here problems why do I have to do that, is not necessary. Our German is good, but it is often spoken a little too quickly and behind a mouth mask it is not always easy to understand. When asked if it was possible to speak more slowly, repeat something or explain something, the answer from various employees was "are you stupid?".
Tuesday 5th July I called my wife, an MRI is pending but after that I can go home. For my wife it is a 3 hour drive, 1.5 hours related to the Corona test and registering at the hospital, it all takes 4.5 hours to get my wife to the ward.

We asked several times if it was known when the MRI would be. We even went to the MRI department. Everything is explained there, that's your problem. We don't know when the MRI is and no, we can't find out either. We don't help at all. Your wife can just come back tomorrow.
We went back to the station and packed my things. We told a doctor's assistant that we were going and explained why. We were and are angry, disappointed and amazed. Is that care in Germany? Or is there xenophobia in your hospital? Or just something against the Dutch.
