Never Again
First off, I payed from age 4, until High school age for RYSC! And I’m NOT enthusiastic about how it’s ran now a day. Us parents of Rec players pay $150 (with over 3500 kids attending, you can do the math, and it only runs Aug-Nov) I know The money they use is for the competitive folks. So they can have good coaches, refs, fields, uniforms, and teams. We rarely have referees(which makes parents do the job) The coaches are clueless. There is plenty of verbal abuse towards the refs, parents, and kids! There is no heading the ball, no goalies kicking balls into play, and very bad calls because no one is specifically “trained”. It’s honestly turned into a joke! We are supposed to be getting these kids ready to play at a higher level. Not coddling, and playing for “fun”. My child is a very good player, she could progress with better coaching, and reffing. But that isn’t happening anymore. It’s a money grab for the elite players. We will NOT be returning next year.
