Flexible working. Work life balance NOT

Flexible working. Work life balance are words the University likes to use but it is impossible for I.T. staff to impliment. Staffing has been reduced to below the bone causing excessive work loads for those that remain.
Working more hours for no extra pay and taking time off just results in a bigger pile of ****\work to come back to.
Projects are inadequately resourced and if you show an interest in something you get that to do on top of your usual work.
Encouraged to use our personal vehicles for business use when they know we're not insured to do so.
Managers are favoring puting on a "Show of attendance" for their bosses over productivity. This has proved the last straw and many like me are leaving or have already left.
