I was placed here through a temp agency as a receptionist. My experience was challenging due to the fast pace and multiple responsibilities.
During a short training period, I was asked to learn several office systems while covering the front desk, answering phones, restocking supplies, cleaning common areas, monitoring bathrooms, assisting with inventory, and running errands to the post office. Training was brief, and priorities sometimes changed throughout the day.
I followed the written procedures provided but later received updated instructions. To stay organized, I created a daily task schedule, which I received feedback on. After only a few days, I was told my familiarity with office systems did not meet expectations, despite the limited training and frequent changes in direction.
Overall, the environment felt fast-paced and challenging for someone new to the role. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this placement for those seeking detailed training, consistent expectations, and clear communication.
