A few weeks ago, my wife & I decided to spend our honeymoon weekend in Manhattan. Everything was fine until we come back to the room late at night and there is an unbearable smell of Marijuana. The manager, which was very nice, told us that they had a prior incident that day, having to evict some guests from the hotel. They send someone to spray the room to make the smell go away to no avail. We obviously asked for another room and again, the manager, very kindly told us that they are completely booked so he offered to pay us our money back for the night if he decided to leave or give us free breakfast in the morning if we decided to stay. It was already around 1am, it was freezing outside, we were exhausted and we had no nowhere else to go so we had to no choice but to stay. I am not a hotel expert but how greedy can such a large hotel be (713 rooms) that they do not even keep a few rooms available in case of emergency? Yotel, you should be embarassed.

Very nice, no frills hotel for a 1 night stay. Small for long stays.
The bar and the eatery on level 4 is very good for a light snack and work talk.
Early check-in may be a problem due to the automated machines at the lower level, would recommend you go to level 4 and talk to an actual human who may be able to help yu.

Just left Yotel NYC. Staff so helpful! They will answer all questions and provide options to make visit to NYC hassel free and inexpensive. Yes rooms are small but they work! Clean and very comfy. Beds awesome and so was shower. Location is perfect! Port Authority Bus Station 2 Blocks. Shuttles to Newark airport there and run every 20mins. Way cheaper then Uber or Lyft and no hassels. Times Square is no more then 10 min walk. So much to see when u walk down 42nd. Thanks for great stay!

I stayed for 1 night but I will be returning. It is about 5 blocks away from Time Square and is very modern. When we arrived it was very open quick to check in. They have my lovely Bar and Restaurant on the 4th floor and a great patio to take your drinks out and enjoy the night. The only thing I can even say bad about it I can tell my room has not had a real good cleaning.
Now let me explain before anybody decides not to book this hotel. The room was clean these sheets were clean the bathroom was clean. But by me being a traveler I can find what to look for to tell if the housekeeping services are doing what they are supposed to do or just making the room looks presentable. By the TV and the desk on the side you could tell that they do not dust or attempted us because it was a layer of dust. Around the grout of the glass shower you can tell that they didn't run the bleach down there and actually wipe it down because you can see where it's starting to collect dirt and possibly mold. So I would definitely ask them to come and clean the room to your liking. That is just me if I pay money for anything I want it to be exactly how I want it.

Very interesting experience from self check in kiosks to dim light elevators with loud music. The room was probably the most interesting of all with a bright pink glow when you first walk in.

Location and price are both pretty good and they offer free coffee and muffins as well in the mornings.

This is a great hotel for short stay. Me and my husband spent 3 days here, everything was perfect. Great room service, decent restaurant and bars on the 4th floor. In the middle of Manhattan, subways and buses to everywhere. Nice place for tourists!!

The terrace is super nice.
Breakfast buffet is simple but tasty.
Very very small room, but an expensive hotel for NYC.

Small and simple rooms with good views. Good food and drinks. Two stars docked because the rooms felt a bit run down, the wifi was intermittent at best, and the food was overpriced. Still, a solid experience.

Decent hotel; facility fee of $30 a night; book a better hotel for that price.
I enjoyed my stay at the Yotel....inexpensive, clean, a bit worn but overall a very good experience. I was, however, very surprised that I was charged a $30 facility fee for each night. I chose this hotel due to the price and frankly, if I would have known I was going to pay $30 more a night, I would have booked a better hotel on 44th Street. It's January....most hotels have great prices. Yotel was inexpensive, a cool concept and highly reviewed so I was very interested in the experience but please....you stick me with an unexpected charge for what?! And I had no idea that this was coming. Just beware when you book.....

My boyfriend found this hotel years ago and since then this is the only place we stay when we visit NYC. The robotic bag storer is so cool and the design on the building is very intriguing. We love how simplistic and clean the rooms are. The Green Fig Restaurant located on FOUR is also very nice. The mixed drinks are very good, I highly recommend trying a few.

Good location to times square, subway. Hotel was clean, rooms were small but not in it very much so that is ok. Bed was comfortable. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Used their driver for ride back to airport, would recommend that as flat rate. They store luggage for small fee. Enjoyed our stay at Yotel/New York and would stay again.

It was a decent stay. Room was super small with a good view. The room got super cold and when we turned the temperature up or turned the AC off the room will be too humid. We never got to use the heated rack as it was broken and pretty rusty at the edges. There is a fee if you want to store your luggage. Good enough for a short trip but I wouldn't stay here if I had to stay for more than 2 nights. Also, some streets around the hotel are pretty sketchy to walk at night on your own or if you are travelling with a gf. You just gotta know what streets to avoid.

We went to NY for our anniversary and to a concert! I have to admit that originally I thought the price was too steep, but after staying there, I have to say the staff was amazing, the rooms were clean and organized and it was worth every penny. If I ever come back to NY will stay here with no hesitation!

Breakfast is not included anymore, there is no complementary coffee or muffins as some people is saying. There is a big terrace which you will never enjoy as an hotel guest because it is always closed until 11am, and in the afternoon/evening when it's open there's always some private event, that as hotel guest, you'll never have access. The closest metro station it's not so close, at least 15 minutes walk until you get to 42nd/8thAv, metro station. 40$ breakfast with tips not worthy breakfast. Rooms are so small and claustrophobic, besides that keep in mind you'll have no wc privacy with your partner.

So. The hotel is about 7 minutes from Main Metro Station and a few minutes' walk from Broadway and Times Square. It has a young and cool design. The bed is comfortable and cozy. The girls at the reception are really lovely and helpful.
However, unfortunately there were some glitches. We were in a room that had loud noises from the pipes that woke us up in the middle of the night, the bathroom door did not close and the sink did not drain the water properly. After all this we were transferred to a room. The other room had no toilet handle and one of the lights did not work.
Also, the room is problematic if you are not a couple. It's very small (but I understand it's a standard in New York) and the toilet and shower are really close to the bed and quite transparent so there is no real privacy.
In short, it was a mediocre experience.
I would not rush to close there if there is another option in the area.

Fancy robot wasn't working, paint peeling off the walls and furniture. Shower handle plate was freely turning around with the handle and the towel warmer was broken. For a place that tries to sell itself as Instagrammable, the rooms are somewhat decrepit.

First time staying at this hotel. I had been doing plenty of research prior to our honeymoon. I saw some YouTube videos on this place and read some reviews. Took and chance with it and I like it! It s great! New and trendy. The room is small but fine for the price. There s plenty of restaurants near here too. I paid $8 bucks from the cruise terminal to the hotel on Lyft. It s a great place to stay when in NYC and want a great a central place to restaurants and entertainment.

The check-in was easy and fast via the kiosks. The staff at the fourth floor lobby was polite and helpful! So are the staff everywhere else in the hotel really. Luggage storage is a lot of fun with the robot! You will get assistance quickly at Yotel.

Located just a short walk from Times Square the Yotel New York focuses on airplane cabin style rooms that maximize space to keep room rates low. The hotel design is innovative by using technology, from a robot that will store your luggage until check-in to a touch screen check-in counter. Overall the hotel has a very trendy vibe with the purple lights, modern decor choice, and ambient music in the halls. I highly recommend staying here.

Busy hotel but not sure if I liked the crowd. Room was small but enough for 2 on a short stay, with smart use of space. Checking in and out was done through automated systems which helped to speed things up.

Great location, really close to 42nd street and times square. Pretty central for everything and close to a subway station for those wanting to go further out. Room was always cleaned to high standard, staff friendly. Yes the rooms are a little more compact but it you are a couple it's perfect.

Decent, low priced hotel in Hell's Kitchen and near the Theater District. Also a short walk to the Javits Convention Center. The rooms are small but nicely appointed. Staff are friendly. I would stay here again.

Yeah .. it's ok. The room was clean very modern like. They try to theme the hotel around a space craft. There is a huge robotic arm that takes your luggage at reception. Price, was ok (for NYC), very close to Times Square. So ... I would probably go back to this hotel.

In every floor there is a little room where coffee, hot chocolate, water and ice are for free. Also, it includes a very basic complimentary breakfast.

So ... Quality / price, very good.

Place was okay, but, the two staff i interacted with seemed a little aloof and it is too far (12 minute walk at a fast pace) from subway. I prefer subway, but ended taking a lot of cabs

Very centrally located in the heart of Manhattan, the hotel and its rooms have a very modern look. A number of rooms have retractable beds, though the rooms are quite cramped. The dual-lift system is also a hassle - you take one bank of elevators from the ground floor to the reception, then there's another set for going to the rooms. Also, beware of hidden charges like early check-in, bag holding, etc which are not explicitly stated upfront.

We planned to stay at this hotel for a long time and have made the right choice.
The hotel was spotless, rooms are not large, but enough for two people. Super Friendly concierge, all the staff are friendly.
They gave the gym, their small theatre, a terrace, and a Green Fig restaurant.
We are more than satisfied and will stay there in a month when we go to NYC again.

Check in and check out was a breeze, self done at a terminal at the lobby, the 'included' breakfast was a muffin and tea or coffee, not what I would call a breakfast. The rooms or pods as they call them are exactly that a pod, with a bed that folds down and no bar fridge, as an overnight stay it is fine, but if you are looking for something more, look somewhere else

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The place is trendy, all of the amenities and furniture are new and conveniently organized. I would absolutely love to see more Yotels in other states.

The beds are very cool as they start with the tops arched up so you can use it as a couch if you prefer, and it makes the room appear bigger. Then when you're ready for bed, you just press a button and it flattens out. I actually expected the bed to be very uncomfortable based on it kind of having a gimmick like that, but it's easily the most comfortable bed I've slept on in a hotel in years.

The price is reasonable, and you're really close to Time's Square and Broadway, so give this place a chance.
