Yoder Department Store Review

Went to look for hiking boots for the family. They had a great supply of boots to choose from, but the amount of staff can be a bit overwhelming. While friendliness and helpfulness is always appreciated, it felt more like we were being closely watched all the time.

Love stopping to brouse the merchandise. Nice selection of products.

They have a great variety of different things to find here.

I go to this store for special finds. This time it was a unicorn cookie cutter.

Not all employee's was friendly. The line to check out was super long after enough other customers complained they open up another place to check out.

Amazing selection of fabrics, from modern to reproductions. Solids are an amazing value. Nice selection of men's tropical and novelty fabric shirts, oddly enough. Wish I had time to shop for shoes, excellent s election of sensible but fashionable shoes.

Great stores , very clean, very high-end. Very expensive. If you want good quality and don't mind paying the money this is a great place to shop. I absolutely love the sewing shop in there I saw things that I have not seen anywhere else.

My favorite place to shop for quilting fabric, notions and patterns when I'm in Shipshewana. Lots of room to socially distance and the staff if always very friendly and helpful.

I love Yoder's for the newest lines of fabric and their great prices. The ladies in the fabric department are friendly and helpful. They're mostly all quilters as well, so they are always interested in what you're doing.

Found things that were hard to find elsewhere prices were fair

Omg the have such a wonderful selection of meats and cheeses. Great place.

This place is great. Have been going there for years! They have lots of neat stuff. You have to go and plan on being there at least a hour..a LOT to see

Love this place. If you're looking for a hard to find item, you have looked at other hardware stores for or if you want something unique, this is the place to go. Hardware items, cast iron skillet, puzzles, toys, dishes, oil lamps, paint, brooms, cleaning supplies they have it all.

It was warm and friendly. They were wearing a mask and had social distancing marked out.

They have everything from A to Z! I love this store! I have been coming here since I was a child.

A unique trip if mine while in undergrad was to take a trip to Indians to see the Amish. Liked the museaum, trading post and resturants there. Very historic and it was fun seeing the traditions like outfits, carraige rides and quilts. It'd a must see as far as I'm concerned.

Best store to get Red Wing boots at. If they don't have your size, they will order them in for you. They also carry moccasins and a wide variety of comfortable shoes.

Located In a heavily amish community the hardware and department store have an eclectic mix of merchandise you won't find in your urban counterparts.

Yoder's has stuff you can't get anywhere else. Good quality merchandise!

This is the best place for quilting fabric in the area. Reasonable prices, excellent selection, friendly staff. Better than most of the other fabric stores in the area.

Lots of stuff and reasonably priced. Fabric store was my main shopping, and they had a wide selection of quilting fabric, some wool for suits, and a few apparel fabrics.

Simply great the store. Great shoes found and a mug + 2 T-shirts from Yoder Store. Do I have to go everytime I'm in the US?

Nothing special. Regular store. Overpriced stuff. Plenty of other things to do while in the area. I d skip this place.

I like browsing the unusual items they have in their hardware area. My wife loves the fabric store in the same building.

The saleslady at Gifted Hand Villages is very knowledgeable about the products. She told us about her age, she is 85 years old. She is very nice and helpful. This gift shop is very unique because some of the products are handmade and from recycled materials. Very colorful accessories like handbags, earrings, necklaces and more. Very nice and good for gifts. I highly recommended to visit this gift shop to anyone visiting Shiphewana.
