We were in Memphis over New Year's weekend and made the 2 hour drive over to Little Rock to visit the Clinton Library. This was the fourth presidential library that we have visited. Interesting Library. Not as engaging as some of 5he others. Airbrushes the Monica L story out of the narative. Jimmy Carter's in Atlanta is more engaging. Still well worth a visit, however.

A good overview of the Clinton Presidency. However, it's VERY selective about certain episodes of the president's time in office, and not surprisingly, not at all balanced. Overall, it felt like more fluff than substance.

Amazing! Love every minute of our visit there, such a sad time looking at the video showing the zero debt national debt.... Zero! You can hate or love Bill but he was a great politician and leader.

I have been to most of the presidential libraries (only two more to go). The staff and facilities at the Clinton library are top notch. The exhibits of his presidency are organized and well done. I especially liked the daily schedules located in the metal binders that showed the day to day activities he was engaged in while in office.
That being said, almost every other presidential library talks about the person, rather than just the oval office time. Noticeable absent from the exhibit are his childhood, education, his two times as governor or Arkansas, or other significant life events including his philanthropic involvements since leaving office.
There are things I admire about president Clinton s presidency, and things I disagree with, but as a whole I found the library to be plain with little in comparative historical caliber as the other presidential libraries.
I also must mention what My wife also observed, that the gift store offered little of Clinton, and was better stocked with junk that could have been purchased at the local Walgreens for much cheaper.

All the dirty pages in the medical books have already been bookmarked and they also also carry the whole Karma Sutra. No website blocks on any computers available too! Lincoln bedroom replica was a great experience as well. Also the only library in the country with a pop a shot, still can't beat the high score. Highly recommended.

We just spent about 2 hours in the Clinton Library, not nearly long enough to even scratch the surface of all that is here. This library is full of pictures, mementos, artifacts, and paraphernalia from the 8 years of the Clinton presidency. There are a number of volunteer docents on every floor, and they are all super friendly, with lots of knowledge that they are happy to share regarding the Clinton years, the Cabinet Room, the Oval Office, etc.Ingrid is a docent in the Oval Office, and we spent about 15 minutes chatting with her, as she was SO informative about so many things regarding the Oval Office, as it looked when President Clinton was in power. She is knowledgeable and very willing to share many facts about the room, etc. Since we are from Canada, she also spent some time telling us about some other notable sites in and around the north part of the state, as that was where we were headed. The Library is well worth a stop. Our only regret is that we ran out of time.

Came here on a Sunday, and I knew in advance this is only open 1 to 5. This a beautiful place, both architecturally and inside. Everything was in tip top shape with plenty of security and volunteers ready to answer questions. The washed ashore exhibition was a nice touch. Multiple displays very tastefully done, easy to navigate and understand. The only downside was not being able to take pictures inside the oval office. This was the only Presidential library I've been to where that was the rule, so I walked away with no pictures of the oval office . You had to use their photographer and pay somewhere between 15 to 20 dollars for the photograph. Not a deal breaker but just an FYI. Highly recommended, despite your political views. Thanks for your public service.

I'm not a Clinton fan but had a great time anyway learning about his Presidency. There's lots to see here plus special exhibits like the Beatles in America when we visited.

Came to little rock to see this and so glad we did. We were young adults during his presidency but the memory of scandal overrides what I really knew about his work. It was fascinating to see the strategic planning, patient but determined approach to the economy, peace in conflicted areas and continuation of the AIDS work he devoted himself to. The museum is well layed out, not overwhelming, and we saw the whole thing in half a day reading lots of the info in the exhibits along the way. Had to wait for the temp to drop but there's nice walking paths (accessible for wheel chairs, walkers, etc) along the river, over bridges, and a fun little downtown to walk through too. The staff was very kind and full of knowledge. It's really hard not to be sad that we don't have public service minded people in office anymore--this becomes painfully obvious here-- but hopefully some bright inspiring people will come along to move us forward the way clinton did.

This place was great! There was a lot of information and the setup was great. The admission was only $10 and you need to plan on spending around 3 hours to see everything inside. There is a bar located on the lower level that you visit. The mock oval office is definitely cool and worth checking out! This is a museum best suited for older kids I'd say 10 and up. If you like Presidential history you'll love this place!

The William J. Clinton Presidential Center and Park is the presidential library of Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States.
Has tons of stuff to do with the kids and had an excellent reference department. Later on, you should stop by the gift shop inside. My wife and I stopped in and purchased several goodies including replica cigars used on Monica Lewinsky!

Food in the restaurant was good, and the grounds on the river were beautiful in the fall, however the museum itself was a snoozer. Very boring. It needs to be updated with some interactive displays or something interesting besides letters from celebrities. The Foundation room was closed. Didn't take long to go through it.

Short story: A poorly designed museum, lacking cohesive flow, narrative, or meaning to a collection of stuff from our former president. Several neat sections, and visually beautiful, but not what I expected.
I've been to a couple of other presidential libraries (namely Truman's, which is spectacular), and despite having tons of great material to work with, the library itself is... sad. I understand that presidential libraries mostly exist to glorify the former office holder, but there were plenty of contentious parts of Clinton's presidency that were glossed over or not mentioned. Credit for a number of things were taken that President Clinton had no part in.
Also, museums should probably have a flow or direction to them, and there was not a clear one here. My wife and often weren't sure where curators wanted us to go next, that it was unclear where things were and why certain parts of the museum were near one another. The materials themselves were of interest, but the way that they were presented either made them difficult to intellectually or physically access. If overhauled, this has the bones of a really interesting place, but between the cost and the lack of cohesion it has now, I wouldn't recommend it to a friend unless they were a huge Clinton fan.

This is my first experience at a presidential library. I was disappointed that I was suppose to pay $15 to get in. Never expected that. There was also a lot of panhandlers in the parking lot. A bit disappointing. I won't draw the obvious comparisons to the Clinton presidency here. If your a big slick willy fan, go for it.

The outside grounds are a beautiful park like setting with walking paths, picnic areas, a bridge walkway across the river. Inside the introductory movie begins the history of the Clinton presidency, see a replica of the oval office, move on to many photos, stories, and historical moments in the library display area. Overall, I enjoyed it very much.

As a history buff, I like to visit as many presidential library I come across in my travels. President Clinton was president during some very monumental time. Lots of interesting info and the grounds around it had many scenic pathways close to and across the river. We rode little electric scooters that were for rent, around the place.

Very interesting place to see the history of president Clinton. The building is beautiful and very green. The restaurant was very good and very well priced ( it is worth going just for that and you don't need to pay admission to eat there) it is cool to see what the Oval Office looked like too!

Presidential Libraries and Museums offer a strong ...
Presidential Libraries and Museums offer a strong sense of self worth to the family of our past commander and chiefs, and this one is no different. It would be Clinton who would have his library have a stronger commercial approach, without sacrificing the architecture, which is by no means a bad thing. And yes one does learn a lot about the Clinton family and anything Lewinsky related is noticeably absent.
FIRST THINGS FIRST: If you plan on going to a Pres...
FIRST THINGS FIRST: If you plan on going to a Presidential Museum, please note that said museum will be partisan to its subjects politics. (I have read some of these reviews and they have made me very sad and surprised) THIS is the place that honors its President and that means his (or hers) Politics, Life and Legacy. We live in a country where we CAN do that. We CAN and SHOULD honor our leaders, regardless of Politics and even regardless of scandal. You will always get a biased view of each Presidents tenure as Commander and Chief and that is the way it is. That is the money and support and time that is spent on building the structure, the narrative and legacy of each President...and their respective Museums. (lesson over)
Having said that:
I campaigned for President Clinton and did some outreach, when he was running for President and his subsequent re-election campaign, so I went in with very very high hopes...
I must admit I was a little underwhelmed with the content inside the museum. I have been to several other Presidential Libraries and museums and was awe-struck with how many pieces where on display. I have been used to seeing grand houses full of trinkets, time pieces and just plain old "stuff". The Clinton museum did not have that much to offer. What is DOES offer is a very detailed (very) chronology of President Clinton's time in office, his policies, his triumphs and his failures. It takes great effort to spend copious dialogue on just about every single piece of legislature attached with/to him. I could have spent another 4 days there and still would never have finished reading everything. If you like to read (and I do) THIS is the museum for you. If you like flash and dazzle, this is not the place for you. Yes, you do get to see the Limo and Yes, you do get to walk inside a replica of the his Oval Office and Cabinet room...but that is about it. George H.W. Bush, who severed 4 years less than Clinton, has a museum jam packed with pillars and grand displays of events and a variety of nostalgia, that could engage even a millennial to put down their phone and take a gander. The Clinton museum, much like its man, spends most of its time communicating and educating, rather than entertaining. Some of these details are far to dense, for the passive visitor, to spend the time reading.
THE BIGGEST and (by far) the GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT this Museum makes, is the actual Museum itself. THE STRUCTURE jets out across the river it sits on, like a "Bridge to the future" and I am sure that is not a coincidence. The building itself looks almost like a resplendent cruise ship, set in glass and crystal. Sitting next to a historical bridge itself, the Clinton Museum challenges us to draw lines between what is old an what is new. The unfinished bridge (if you will) reminds us that President Clinton's work, in and of itself, will never be finished.
Not much is made of the Clinton Foundation (sad to say) except maybe a short video or two and there are not a lot of events going on, year round (please see the Carter and Reagan Centers) but it is obvious that this Center pays a lot of tribute to its subject while also feeding the community in which it is housed on. The Museum and its history, where one of the final stages in the rethinking and restructure of the river-district in local Little Rock and in that way, it does not disappoint.
The Cafe (42) was so impressive, that I went back twice!
All in All: Definitely worth it, if you love Presidential History, Friendly People, walking around town and a deep love of reading!

I love the LBJ Library which captures the character of the man who was LBJ. This library was a collection of facts and "stuff" that were overwhelming at times. Simple things like signage with letters LARGE enough so you can easily read them was not always the case. Captions for pictures and for gifts given to Clinton were so small you could not read them but there was plenty of room on the exhibit for better lettering. I mentioned this to a few volunteers and they kinda raised their eyebrows knowing it is an old complaint. Curators need to fix.

Very informational! We opted to tour the library with a volunteer guide, and I m so glad we did! He was extremely knowledgeable and helped us navigate through the vast amount of information and historical perspective available at the library. Even though I didn't care for him or his wife, this is a really nice museum with lots of photos and history. It's a rip-off to get a photo at the (reproduction) resolute desk in the Oval Office. If you want a photo it's $15.00! ridiculous. Since this is supposed to be history.....how about something along the lines of Monica.....that was a big piece of history that was conveniently forgotten to be added.

Unbeknownst to most Americans, the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum in Little Rock, Arkansas, contains a lavish rooftop garden designed to offer former President Bill Clinton some much undeserved R&R and American taxpayer dollars are helping to maintain it. Within the garden lies a 5,000-square-foot private residence that is strictly off limits to the public.

This is a check off the bucket list for me. This was the first time I visited a Presidential Library, and this wasnt a disappointment. Going through the library, I instantly was taken back in time as I looked ay the pictures, articles, and events that shaped my memory at that time. As you go through the library you also learn that the roof is green with a garden on top. I love sustainable living.
I definitely was happy to visit and it didn't disappoint.

My family drove up to the library from Dallas on President Clinton's birthday weekend. We totally loved the experience. We brought our 9 and 13 year old daughters and they loved it as well. It was very thorough and educational. We were able to participate in the guided tour and that made it a lot easier. We would recommend the library to anyone that wants to learn more about American & World history.
