Amazing slopes and awesome snow. Lift lines can be a bit crowded but the endless terrain makes up for it. Great terrain park and trails. There is a large village where you can shop and eat, and the hotels here are very high quality.

Wonderful, even if it is summer and there is little snow, there are always activities, always working.

I've had an epic pass and was looking forward to ride one of the largest resorts in North America in beautiful British Columbia. What a let down.

First, they only groom about 30%. That means, you have to identify in the morning which runs are groomed. Then you actually have to identify which is which run because the signage is terrible. I got stuck on Peak to Creek (over 6 miles) when I took a wrong turn and had to deal with a frozen un-groomed run for almost 2 hours. I did pass an instructor with little kids, all of them crying. There is no exit on that run. I was so mad, I don't have words for that.
Somewhat related is the fact that yes, whistler blackcomb is sold as the largest ski resort in north america but if you happen to miss an exit and do not end up at your parking lot, there is no shuttle between them. Now you have to know the bus schedule/fair/direction. Unbelievable.
Second, you can buy an epic pass but the canadian resorts can't help with any billing issues. Those arose when Epic pass send me a note that they thanked me about my next season purchase, wait what? I had no idea and I vehemently disapproved. Sorry, we can't help you.
Different issue, I tried to just take the gondola ride between whistler and blackcomb. I stood in line for almost two hours and when it was my turn, they told me i am in the wrong line. There are/were no signs. The end of the story was that by the time we got to the right person, she stated it's too late to take the ride. Unbelievable.
At the creekside entrance, someone tied up a dog in the snowstorm without cover. When I asked around in the restaurant, they knew the owner and it was 'ok'. Unbelievable.
If you want to take one of those early lifts to have breakfast and such, that costs extra and you can't ride much earlier than the rest of the crowd so that was a disappointment. Breakfast was good though.
Here is another kicker. Depending on weather, there are random lift closures. One time, I got stuck at the bottom of symphony express and it's pretty flat from there. tough on a board. ridiculous again. At the same token, I sat on the peak express in a full blown snowstorm with no visibility and heavily swinging gondola. There was zero visibility up there. Zero. No markers to be seen. No runs identified. So, it can go both ways.
Last but no least, I witnessed a lady with a washington license plate porsche parking ahem 'ramming' several cars in the creekside parking structure. Cars around her were shaken! She left to go skiing. I called the cops and was told to leave a note. Needless to say, I called again and got an officer out.
Here is a tidbit, i rode with an resort employee responsible for the weather, snow, run report.......so, let me get this straight. The competition online about snow, runs, lifts open and weather forecast is run by an employee? Must be honest reporting then! They all do it but man, what a scam.
All in all, the surroundings and the size is amazing but the way this resort is run is dismal. I understand profits and I understand they are owned by the Americans now but what is a big mountain worth when it's neither groomed nor signed nor managed properly? They keep the runs open to keep appearances online. Weather is great. Snow is deep. All runs open. Good luck to y'all.
