Visthar (NGO) Review

Wow. Peaceful place in the heart of the city. You feel like you are in Ashram, you can meditate, pray peacefully. Food is available. Best place for meeting, big family day out.

The peaceful place I have ever been to in Bangalore. I love the atmosphere in there. It's filled with greenery and an amazing place to stay away from the busy city vibes..

Perfect place for peace within the city! The greenery is such that you would not want to stay in your rooms. Take a walk in the mornings and stand below the Jasmine tree and you will feel bliss.

Very beautiful green place for retreats, workshops etc. The only issue is voracious mosquitoes, poor connectivity and a big challenge in getting transportation, even taxis.

Amazing campus. Mosquitoes are a big issue but besides that it's lovely considering how close it is to main city of Bangalore.

This is a fantastic place to visit... 'a transient escape from the concrete jungle '....wide spaces... Beautiful foliage... Artistic architecture.... Visit the organic garden for a wide variety of culinary and medicinal herbs. A small gift shop offers a wide variety of handmade art.. Lamps.. Mats.. Plates.. All made with recycled paper. I found the same table mat I purchased at fab India at one third the cost.. An amazing meditation centre.. To rediscover inner peace. They also have amazingly cheap well maintained residential blocks, inclusive of 3 meals.board rooms and seminar halls are also available.... If you want to hold an innovative meeting... Or workshop. Best time to visit... 'bhoomi habba '..as the name implies.. A cultural extravaganza celebrating nature

Visthar has a lot of potential given its environmental philosophy and the beauty of the space itself. However, it's unfortunate that they still don't segregate waste, recycle it, or compost. That detracts greatly from the feeling of Visthar's connection to nature.

Super place for the kids to cut them off from electronic gadgets

A pleasant space to discover the beauty of nature.And good place to organize small events or gathering.

Good facility to host a 100 member conference. The earthy surroundings make it an enjoyable stay. The homey food is another plus point. A bit understaffed, so can be a challenge at times. So don't come with an expectation of a star hotel set up. Enjoy it

A 6.5 acre of nice place. More types of trees, some farming being done, but it could be done more. But their primary goal is different.

It's an NGO that is built on lush green land, surrounded by trees and the calls of nature. The trails to walk are absolute bliss. There is an intriguing well. Had gone for a bay party celebration that was held outdoors. The children were playing amidst nature. A sight we rarely see. The youngsters went on walks to explore the place. The ambience was ethereal whilst the elders laughed and joked. The service was excellent. Music on the background. A very pleasant afternoon it was indeed.
