Breckenridge's parent companies handling of the pa...

Breckenridge's parent companies handling of the pandemic situation has been disappointing. We missed out on our trip last year by three days due to the pandemic shutdown (shutdown Wednesday, Day one on the mountain Saturday). As a result our pass refund was prorated to 64% (we did get to go for a day). We are now being informed that we can't exchange our remaining day pass days 1 for 1 without incurring a further discount (as the "refund" is only eligible for a pass of the same number or more days from the previous season). Since the only days we can attend this year will be over the holidays, we will likely not be able to get they days we want, meaning we can apply for another refund, for which only money spent this year (not the "refund" money) will be eligible. The mountain is nice, but its time to get back to resorts who care a bout their patrons and not just their profits/shareholders.

Odd lifts but good mountain. Labelling is odd (blacks seem like blues) but easy access to ravines and trees for me and kids trails for my nephew. Everything is very easy to get to and bathrooms by every lift.

Awesome resort and great collection of slopes. Easy to get to but can be expensive go to. ($60 for a rental and normally $189 for a day pass) Can be pretty busy so be ready to have some little waits at the lifts. Good resturants around the slopes.

Absolutely gorgeous resort with all the amenities! There's even a shuttle that will take you to some nearby places in town. The hot tubs were excellent and the bathrooms were very spacious. Very comfortable bed and gorgeous views.

One of my favorite places to board. Prices are high but everything is in Summit County. I prefer Breck over Vail because it is a real town. The other ski areas have the Six Flags town feel. Breckenridge has a huge mountain with plenty of options for all skiers.

The good: Breckenridge has a wide variety of terrain suited to skiers/boarders of all levels. Its above-treeline bowls and ridges are fun and make you feel like a hero when they're in condition and you successfully ride the steepest/tightest/airiest of them without death or serious injury. It has some good tree runs between Peak 6 and 7, and the terrain parks always seem to be going off. The bad: it's a massive ski area with massive crowds on weekends and holidays. Lift lines approaching 45 minutes are not uncommon. Being a destination resort with a big name, you get traffic jams in the middle of bigger runs when Flatlanders poop out and sit down just past a roll-off or jump. Ski Patrol is pretty much doing constant laps with the meat wagon. Go midweek or late season to avoid the masses. The ugly: a lunch for two adults and one 8-year old will run you $65. Don't even ask about lift ticket prices. This is now a 1%er resort without the 1%er vibe places like J-Hole and Telluride and Chamonix have earned. If you're a once-a-season ski tripper still working on your turns, you are wasting your money here. Stay in Breckenridge for the nightlife but ski/ride at Cooper (no, not "Copper").

The slopes are in excellent condition, but I found the overall experience to be rather negative. Be aware that tickets are non-transferable, that means if someone doesn't want to use their lift ticket, no one else is able to use it. I tried to do this and was accused of "fraud". A rather extreme label if you ask me. Trying to get a refund, all of the staff were rather passive-aggressive. On top of the exorbitant price of lift tickets I couldn't recommend this place or any other Vail resort, especially when places like Winter Park have lift tickets for around half the price.

Best place for all types of people who want to ski/snowboard. Was one of our most enjoyable trips. Just absolutely beautiful up in Breckenridge. Not only are the mountain views stunning but also the town of Breckenridge is real cute in itself. Walking through main street of Breckenridge is almost like walking through Disney. It's just so perfect like it was cut out with a cookie cutter. The shuttle service was great and it seemed like they had them everywhere going to all resorts. It's nice to be able to have a drink and relax and not worry about driving. We will definitely be back!

Love skiing here. Snow is always great (even when it s not) lots of terrain open on every single peak, and thanks to the amount of terrain wait times never get too long. Meal options on the mountain are great, with good options and decent quality. There are always great times to be had here.

My new favorite mountain. Got the epic pass and am finding it hard to want to go anywhere else. Stay on the left side and you're with all the other people, mostly groups and families. Just lots of people. Head off to the right side though and it gets a lot more open. More difficult too, but more open. Well groomed with tree routes and mogels when you want them. And of course, excellent bars and restaurants all over the place! Can't say enough about how fun it is.

Epic Discovery- Apparently if you have a panic attack on the scenic ski lift they are NOT happy to take you back down.... even if you're in tears but will after they find the rookie. SUPER overpriced, no refunds- expect very long lines. Turkey legs are $16 so eat before you come. Gatorade is $6 so bring drinks too! Best part is the gondola going up (5 stars for BreckConnect!)

One of my top 3 resorts in Colorado to ski, and usually the one I frequent the most. It's has some of the steepest bowls and all of the terrain above alpine level is fantastic. Summit Hike has been where some of my best runs ever are. There is also something for everyone, from beginner to expert.
The proximity to the town of Breckenridge is also a major plus. It has more of a mountain town vibe than a ski resort area. You can also easily find lodging in town which means you can walk to the slopes.

Not wild about this resort. Spread out all over hell's half-acre. Expert t-bar SHOULD be a chairlift. By the time you're 2/3 up, your butt has a charley-horse and your arm feels like it's gonna fall off. I've skied Park City, Snowmass, Taos, Copper Mountain, Winter Park, etc. and prefer any of them to this mountain. Ugh!

Great resort with lots of varied terrain and lots to do around town after skiing. Friendly staff all around and excellent instructors if you need lessons. The high elevation is a challenge for many folks and it takes some time to acclimate, but it also makes for some great skiing conditions throughout the season. Will definitely go back again.

1st time skiing in Colorado. I am a boarder line beginner, intermediate skiier. There plenty of long run green slopes for me to get comfortable on and good groomed blues to work on getting better with moderate more challenge. Very much enjoyed my time there.

While I had a fantastic time, this is definitely a place aimed more towards families with young children. Neither the roller coaster nor the slide are especially thrilling - but I imagine if we'd got to try the zip line it would've made up for it! It was closed while I was there. The lifts, however, are comfortable as hell! And the views from the lookout towers up top are breathtaking.

Can get cold and is crowded on the weekends, but Breckenridge is a premier ski resort that is worth a trip. Well managed resort with hills for all skill levels. The top bowls are awesome experiences for advanced skiers. If your skills are up there, I would recommend a hike to the top of peak 6. While the hike is hard, it is rewarding ski down (plus you get some exercise).

3 Stars for the Mountain skiing.

3 Stars for the Mountain skiing.
5 Stars for the town and night life.
The skiing is ok. It's always windy. It seems to always be icey at the top and warm at the bottom (similar to Whistler).
The town has so much for families and people to do. All the way from arcades for kids and nightlife (Pubs) for adults. Every time I come to CO for Skiing (11 out of the last 15 years) we stay in Breck and travel to other mountains for the snow.
