Love this hospital and other facilities there. Great care by all the doctors and nurses who take care of the patients and they show concern for the family members also. If you want great patient care this is the place to go.

It is a good school and is not nearly as political as other reviews are making it out to seem. People on the left say it leans too far right and people on the right say it leans too far left. All that shows you is that it is one of the few colleges that has a near equal amount of each side of the political spectrum.

The nurse practitioner kept cutting me off in mid sentence when I was trying to explain my symptoms. Other than this one individual I have been going to UT Knoxville for medical attention for the past 3 years and had have nothing but rave reviews for the folks that work there.

I can not imagine a better college experience! I loved my time at UT. Every prospective employer I encounter is impressed by my Bachelor's Degree received from UT. No better University out there, GO VOLS!!

Fun football games, the rest is terrible. Went for one year before I left. Constant parties in dorms and disrespect from roommates. Repeated reports to residential staff did nothing. The campus wasnt clean. Parking was essentially useless as there were not enough spots so if you used tour car finding another spot was almost impossible. Parking passes were way too expensive. Everything was way too expensive for the quality. Overall not a good school with bad support and quality of life for students unless they enjoy getting drunk and partying every day.

TOUGH GETTING TOUGHER That is . . . tough to get in because of rising ACT scores, much to the regret of some Knoxville folks whose children attended local private high schools. Tough on the football field and preseason top 10 this year!

Tennessee is a great school with several leading programs. In my opinion, Tennessee is best public research university in the state. The athletic programs are considered to be elite. Also, school spirit is strong.

Wonderful park-like location open to the public but owned by the University of TN. There's plenty of simple trails throughout with benches around to lounge in. Plus an area for children to play.
Photos are okay. Pro photos require you to be a member from the School to shoot Professionally plus you'll need an appointment.

I sent 18 days in the hospital and I could not have asked for any better treatment than what I got while I was there. Any time I needed anything all I had to do was ask and and a nurse or CNA was there for me. Signed Kerry Harp

To Thompson Bowling Arena for Lady Vol game. Of course not many there. The music they play is WAY TOO LOUD esp. since so few people there. Ushers very nice & no problem social distancing. Sanitizers available every where. All wearing mask. Probably safer than going to grocery.

I'm very impressed at the vast size of this campus. Very clean and everyone was very friendly. Coming from Canada, there are only a few university's that I see as having similar school spirit. Canadian universities could learn a thing or two from this place!!

I am a student here and it is a tough university but ultimately your education is worth it. Though There are a few classes that are unnecessarily hard for their level. While construction on campus makes beautiful spots hard to find they are still out there.

It's hard to rate a place like this because as a medical facility, it has it's pros and cons. Most of the HOSPITAL doctors and staff are wonderful, understanding and trying to make a patient's visit as easy as possible. Private practice office's staff vary on their approach to "bedside manner" with patients. There is absolutely NO place to park on the property that doesn't cost money, from my experiences there... unless you have a handicap placard/tag. So as of Summer 2020, you'll need to have $3 to pay as you leave the parking garages. With the Covid attendance restrictions in place, you'd think they'd have a place someone could park to wait if not allowed to go in for appointments with their loved one and just dropping them at an entrance... but there isn't such area without pulling into a garage and being required to pay the daily parking fee. Some of the previous additions and renovations have made this huge and sprawling complex awkward to get around, at some points. I've encountered situations where I've gone up an elevator from the parking garage to an upper floor, walk all the way down the VERY long hallway to come to an abrupt end of said hallway, just to have to go all the way back down the hallway to the same elevator, go back down to the main floor, walk back down the very long hallway in order to take another elevator to the same level floor to eventually reach the doctor's office. That's excessive and completely unmanageable for someone who may be handicapped or easily confused/frustrated.

Beautiful place, good staffs, nice Prof.
In Spring 2013, I came and visited CS Department for research exchange. I met Prof.Adibi and others. That is a very good opportunity.

The staff here couldn t give a care in the world if you learn or graduate. And they don t teach you anything about getting a job in your field. Most of the curriculum is irrelevant.

Plus, the programs are so convoluted with co requisites and prerequisites that you get screwed over when classes aren t available (known as the Big Orange Screw ). And they add an absurd amount of writing-intensive Perspectives classes in foreign studies and additional US studies classes and world history, so you really hardly take any classes related to your major. They want to be a Top 25 research institution but alienate the students who are TN students just trying to get an affordable degree with their HOPE scholarships. So many other universities have simplistic general education pathways and then you can dive into your major, but not UT.

My advice, don t waste your time.

Great

The school spirit here is unparalleled by any other school I've visited. Practically anyone you ask for directions, information, etc. is more than willing to help. The admission staff is very down to earth, and despite the size of the University, they consider you more than just a number. I am so glad to be able to attend this school in 2014, I cannot wait!

UT Gardens are spectacular! Enjoy a private walk through their shaded tails, or a brisk jog along the riverside. There is something for everyone. There is even an interactive Children's Garden! With plenty of places to rest, either benchs or tables, it makes a wonderful place to sit and enjoy lunch. Take your family, take your friends, or just take yourself for a little alone time to unwind. It is well worth it!

Loved it

Meh. Kinda overrated school, and very little to no diversity in terms of race, culture, and types of student orgs. But it's getting there, just hope that butthurt basic enthusiasts don't complain about new students with -gasp- actually different mindsets.

But otherwise, it's not really terrible, but it's not the best. We have a pretty good football team? And we do throw insane parties--I mean, organize amazing beneficial study groups with each other.
