uShaka Marine World (Theme Park) Review

Never a Dull moment, awesome activities for both kids and adults

It's a convenient place to be even on festive season

I enjoyed the Village Walk with the kids. There's a number of restaurants and clothing shops. You can spend a day here at Wet 'n Wild as well as the Marine World. Kids World has a lot lot of fun stuff for children.

Service was good and enjoyed the rides...rides do need maintenance...

Ushaka Marine provides an amazing experience for all.

Great place to visit. One stop shop for kiddies and family fun.

First visit. Amazing experience. Enjoyed the Dolphin, Penguin & Seal shows. The tanks and displays in the aquarium are fantastic. Watched the turtles & Ray's been fed. A day well spent in Durban!

Everything about ushaka marine is amazing. Shark cage. Marine world etc

It has lost some of its shine. There are many stores but it is not as clean as it used to be.

Very cool place, pity I went there late and couldn't experience everything. Its an all in one location. Great for visitors who want to see the most but with limited time.
Loved the variety of restaurants offered.

Expected more for the price. Also find it incredibly sad to still have dolphins in captivity.

Superb especially for kids. My grand daughter Natalia enjoyed herself. Dont miss the dolphin show simply breath taking.

Fun in the sun for the whole family, easy access to the beach, great food, gift stores galore, secure parking and lots of security personnel, it was a bit crowded but movement was not restricted,,,

Awesome water park if your looking for some fun with family or friends!

Aquarium is lovely with a lot of verity, from crustaceans, fish, sharks etc. (And gets new species and new things coming in from time to time!)

Dolphin/penguin shows are very entertaining for the whole family.

Staff is awesome! Enthusiastic for the most part and very helpful.

Could use some better signage (or updates to signage) to get to Ushaka and finding the parking area easier.

Otherwise an awesome place with an awesome experience for everyone!

Food court is amazing, staff is friendly lots of kids friendly facilities, good holiday destination!

Great for a day visitwith the family or friends.Lots to do and see. A stroll to the beach is a few steps away.

A very interesting place to visit. There are lot of activities you can enjoy.

The place is clean and satisfies the needs of the kids. The biggest let down is that once you're inside you cannot purchase ANY healthy food or snacks! Only greasy fast food type of food

The place met our expectation as a team! And we had a good time with Beach and Bush TeamBuilding guys!

They had beautiful aquariums filled with a variety of fish, and information about the fish. The dolphin show was amazing, but the seals were a disappointment compared to previous visits. There was limited food trucks, we didn't go to the restaurants because they were busy. The village is a wonderful experience and the water world kept us busy for hours.
A wonderful visit for young and old! Definitely recommend for lovers of sea creatures and water activities.

Awesome place to spend the day, aquarium is fantastic and water park part if it is also really great. The staff were all friendly, the bathrooms were clean, there are secure lockers for hire in several places which is massively helpful. Also definitely recommend the Ocean Walk thing.

Nice place to go and have some fun in the sun, disconnect and unwind. Overral design Has a nice tribal feel to it plus theres a free aquarium built into an old ship which is awesome

I did the ocean walk then a dive with the sharks on 24 June 2017 and a big up to the staff on duty that day. They really have their way with all kinds of people. They paid attention to us throughout the entire experience and showed passion for the water. Loved it and will be doing it again.

This is the place to relax and enjoy more of the activities and interact with different cultures

We couldn't go in stood in line, but then was closed for a couldn't case, sad, but atleast we know they care

Despite Covid, Ushaka Marine still manages to keep the love and fun.
Kudos to John Dorys staff their hospitality was nothing short of amazing.

It's good as this was my first time visiting Durban pls fix the showers from the beach and try to add more showers and add wood umbrellas and chairs and toilets you need to bear in mind there are pregnant woman visiting

Great. A bit expensive. One day is not enough to do and see it all.

I had an amaziiiiing time!!! The aquarium is out of this world! Definitely coming back next time I m in the city

Great place for a family day out or something to entertain your visitors. You are not allowed to take any of your own food or drink into the park. They check your bags. So save yourself the trouble and take extra cash to get food inside. We enjoyed the snorkeling inside the lagoon.

The ticketing entrance needs some speeding up.. But the dolphin show and the aquarium was amazing...

It's was an awsome experience being there, great people, great entertainment. I think it's one of the best in south africa

I was at the Wet and Wild part for a birthday party. Great entertaining family facility

Although the park is very nice a lot of staff weren't very interested in working. The food we bought from the Gambits was also not very good.

I'm not comfortable about intelligent animals like dolphins being in captivity but I understand that most (all??) of the dolphins here were rescued and unable to be released, or were born here. I would be happier about uShaka if the dolphins had better facilities and A LOT more space. But I also understand that will require a lot of work and money.

However, uShaka is doing amazing work in marine rescue, studies and public education, so I wouldn't want to see the facility shut down, as some people want.

Great place for fun water activities with the entire family

Only visited the "mall" -shops. Some were pricy but on the whole very interesting. The service at the Steers was very good...so too the food.

Everything is perfect, kiddies things, shops we had a fun me and my girlfriend.
