Great host to homegrown theatre and to touring productions.
I love this intimate theatre. But the bar is very expensive.
Always enjoyable. Accessible. Clean. Friendly n efficient staff. Great coffee.
Cinderfella this years pantomime was very good and everyone appeared to enjoy it? I found my seat a little bit uncomfortable so one star off.
Tron panto time.
Took the brat pack once again to this years tron offering.
As usual theres a different slant, this years all female cast giving a different view of the Cinderella story.
The kids all said they enjoyed it but they could have just been being polite which isn't like them as some parts went over their heads.
Decent singers with some groan jokes but still worth a visit if you haven't got panto tickets.
Theatre bar, bit soulless and not a great selection of beer
Was at 'The Political History of Smack & Crack' tonight, which was brilliant. Acting was superb and it worked well in this Theatre.
Go every year to pantomime its fantastic staff very friendly
Lovely atmosphere in the Victorian Bar, well worth a visit
One of the very, very best theaters. U can feel the history that we as visitors ( wish I could go more ) + Glaswegian no feel + love. PJ.
Warm Friendly Theatre. Great food is served all day.
Just been to see Cindefella..not what I expected but was fantastic.
Always love a visit to the Tron. Fab productions and a great wee bar
A group of friends & others met up before the play & we stayed in the bar there afterwards. Thanks to the staff...
Lovely theatre. Great production. Friendly helpful staff.
A great wee theatre. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and good food in the restaurant.
Always something interesting going on here, check their website
The show I went to see was hularious. I go every year and therevis never bad hospitality.
Mammy Goose was hysterical and also quite poignant in places. A must see at a fabulous theatre
Cinderfella at the Tron is not to be missed..amazing
Nice intimate theatre, enjoyed a lovely meal before the show.
I saw an exceptional show. The best night out in a very long time. Well done young blood theatre company. Excellent script. Incredible actors. Mind boggling scripting.
This theatre was lovely , the cast were amazing, a great wee afternoon
Really enjoyed my time here. Staff friendly & knowledgeable. Very different kind of show and I'm glad I stumbled upon this place. Would definitely return for other performances.
Fantastic pantomime again this year........might go as far as to say best yet x. See you all next year xx
I haven't enjoyed a show so much for years and the place was just lovely
Amazing performances at the Tron tonight 'Scotties' is a tale that needs to be told-and what a creative way to share it! The actors were fantastic and their performances so moving. Congratulations to all the cast and crew
Amazing show !!!!! Loved all the actors performances laughing out loud:-:-D:-D
Fantastic panto as usual. We go every year with our Grandaughters. We all love it.
Best panto I have ever been to. Very slick and funny.
A great venue that continues to show a variety of excellent and exciting new productions, and always has a friendly, sociable vibe in the bar after a show.
A Lovely intimate theatre with a well managed staff and routine.
The Swath concert was excellent too.
Always enjoy a visit to the Tron. Staff are all amazing.
Great food! Fresh, great price and covers a lot of dietary needs. Staff always friendly and welcoming
We always go and see the pantomime here each year and it's a scream. Well worth going here instead of the larger traditional Glasgow establishments for a more personal experience but still extremely professional and well done.
Really enjoyed the food and the show. The Chosen production was great
Tiny tails adventure is brilliant for children's creative play! The kids all have fun and each week is a new story/adventure with sensory play to bring the story to life! Great value for money! Suitable for various age groups and parents have fun too!
Perfect spot for a quick bite to eat or a few drinks after shopping or before a night out in Glasgow.
Nice building well refurbished, good food nicely cooked . The seats however are impossible to seat on particularly on row 'J'. At the time of purchase there is no notification that thus particular row has no leg room. Therefore I did not enjoy the play and subject matter and left with sore back and neck.
The Tron is a superb smallish theatre space, created out of an historic old town Glasgow church. The seating is such that good views are more or less guaranteed. There are a bar and restaurant that are very popular, and deservedly so, in their own right. The quality of the plays is consistently high, though of course, personal taste comes into that. I have just seen Pride and Prejudice (sort of) and that gets 5 stars from me too. The Tron's conversion to the Pantosphere each Christmas is the stuff of legend!
Great little theatre , always go here for the pantomime every year , seating has good leg room, has a bar and cafe selling good range of hot and cold eats, it's also handy for buses going east and west, and central station is not that far away.
Great for a bite and drunk during the afternoon...some good shows here
First visit. Friendly, welcoming team. Interesting space. Saw DUPed ... thought provoking!
I only went to collect someone from a show so I am not qualified to review this establishment.
Nice bar and good food. Pleasant and helpful staff.
It was fun, great audience participation and really good actor's.
Love music too.
Best panto in the pantosphere, great venue and nice staff.
Love the Tron Theatre as its not too big so you feel the cosy atmosphere ...
Was not there for a play but the bar area is excellent great food and great bar staff first class service.
Lovely intimate theatre. Host a good selection of different events
This review pertains to the Saturday morning kids activities which the Tron hosts: Tiny Tales (0-2 yrs ) and Tall Tales (2-4 yrs). I have been to both, having a ~1 yr old and a ~3 yr old.
These sessions are interactive story sessions, which aim to stimulate kids' imagination with stories, singing and use of various props to bring the story to life. My children love the sessions and we always have great fun. The cost per session is great value (you buy a ticket for the child, and then up to 2 adults can accompany them).
The staff who run the sessions are wonderful and are very good with the children (I wish I had their patience). My older daughter can be quite shy, but they always make time for her and coax her to participate. In a group of children, there will always be a range of personalities and abilities, but the staff make sure everyone is included and that everyone "gets a shot" of whatever activities are on the go. The size of the group can vary from small to large, but the staff always put the same great effort in, which is appreciated.
I work full time Mon-Fri and so I am grateful for the opportunity to take my kids to a Saturday morning activity like this, where we can have fun and spend some time together. I find most parent-child activity sessions in society are weekday events and so some parents (especially fathers) can miss out. So, well done to the Tron for having such great weekend activities which are accessible to all parents.
Good vibes and nice draught. A wee hidden gem in the merchant city.
Great wee experience.. small compact theatre.. nice wee bar downstairs..
