Wonderful place to ski with a group we all had a great time thanks.
Wonderful place to ski with a group we all had a great time thanks.
Went here for the Snow tubing. Really good place for Snow tubing, and it's better if you go in a group because you can get the Group discount. All-in-all, a nice tubing experience. One suggestion though, their hills are like a straight line, they are not like Elm Creeks lanes, which have like waves kind of. But I wouldn't take a star off for that.
Great place to ski, eat, and enjoy the great outdoors!
A ton of runs, and great pricing on weekend nights.
Fun place. Runs were all good. Lifts had a nice flow and shorter lines until around 1100 PM. Lines were super long after that. Does some damage to the wallet if you have couple family members and need rentals. A family package or something would be nice. They did give a small military discount, was super awesome. Had a great time.
Great time skiing and snowboarding. The old codger bar tending was really rude to people though.
Great Tuesday/Thursday evening deals! Would love to see them start a little bit earlier.
Late night skiing is busy as frig but so much damn fun...
NO SNOW BEING MADE Wish they were making snow last Friday for the 9pm to 3am special with hundreds of people showing up for it, it was all ice. Never again. No snow being made the entire night. Regardless of the response I get that's pretty ridiculous
Very fun. Many good hills to ski down. Skiers, beware of snowboarders though.
Great place for the kids to learn to ski! Wish that they had a magic carpet especially for the wee ones. I was shocked by the selection at the little cafe. The employees are helpful and friendly!
Great experience with kids from the elementary school. Instructors were patient and very helpful! Kids had a blast!
Night skiing was very fun, prices weren't bad, a bit of a drive and not as many hills as other places I've been to in the MN area but still a really fun atmosphere
It was amazing the first time I went service was amazing
Skiing was really fun but most of the staff was really rude to me and my school group
Love Troll. It would be 5 stars if they had a bit more vertical feet.
It doesn't have super hard hills, but it's still fun
Great place to ski in Wisconsin. Restaurant has delicious food, friendly staff.
Well put on event by the Minnesota Go 4Wheelers Memorial weekend. Been attending this event for many years and will continue to do so. When you are in Dresser be sure to stop at the local pizza place. You will not be disappointed or leave hungry.
The runs and lifts are ok for the MN/WI area. We had a meet here and they were very well organized for almost 600 junior racers and I was over the moon impressed. Easy parking, good directions/maps... well done.
I never really do reviews but I feel inclined to share this for future visitors. I will say this, Trollhaugen is very impressive in most ways. However, i went there today for the first time (usually I go to wild mountain) and was thoroughly disappointed. I rented ski's (which I have always done) and was unable to ski without an immense amount of pain from the boots. I tried on multiple sizes and tried any accomadations I could to make it work and nothing relieved me from the pain. Keep in mind, I understand that the boots are supposed to be uncomfortable but this was like nothing I have ever experienced. Usually I would try to enjoy through the pain but it was impossible when I tried to skii. I spent two hours trying different solutions with little help from the employees who seemed to know very little about what they were doing. After a couple of hours, I gave up and was fortunately given a refund. The managers were extremely nice about the refund however they gave no solution to my discomfort and said they had only one type of boot to offer which I found pretty disappointing considering they see hundreds of people a day whom require different things. It was an extremely weird experience.
Was bummed that the course was only partially open when we went, but it has been a popular place to go to among our friends. The staff is always friendly and mindful of safety. Can't wait to go there again next year!
The made snow is high quality and the chairlifts aren't very swingy. They have a high variety of hills for every skill level plus their Thanksgiving race training program is incredible with amazing instructors
Such a warm, fun, family place. Super helpful staff. Clean, lots of room to spread out. So happy with our experience. Thank you!
Great little ski resort to warm up before big adventures. We have used it with our Indy pass and for sure will go back again. Perfect for a day out. Runs are short but have good range of difficulty for all ages.
Best ski resort food I've ever had! Food is made very fast and with good prices too.
Great experience. Its a small owned business and it gives the feeling of it too. Great place to go skiing and tubing and a lot more!
Went for the late night Friday night ski lift pass deal and had a blast!
Top notch service all around. From tickets, to rentals, to lifts to food and beverage, great atmosphere!
The best resort in Midwest. No one has better prices.
Lots of variety! So fun! Plus they have Spotted Cow, cant beat that.
We did the Aerial Adventure Park for a bachelor party and it was great! Different levels of difficulty and ziplining incorporated into the courses. Would recommend a shower afterwards because it IS a workout.
The terrain is nothing special, but the atmosphere is great. The old-school chalet has a great nostalgic feel, a fantastic patio (when it isn't freezing), and a magnificence bar. Their beer selection is always awesome, but the Bloody Mary is a real must-have.
Very quick and efficient ski rental process. Snow was well groomed, especially for this time of year. Beautiful view from the top. Plenty of seating in the chalet. Ski instructors for the kids did a great job. Well worth the drive from the cities.
Trollhaugen is great for all levels of skiing. Terrain park for beginners away from regular skiing with towrope. The chalet has a snack , bar with fireplace and p.m. restaurant. You can bring in food and there is ample seating. Lift operators are curtious, hold chair and slow down lift for kids. We can't wait to go back to the Troll!
Cheap and fun place to ski on Friday nights. Good live music too.
A great place to ski & snowboard & there tubing hill is great too.
Great food And friendly staff, always willing to help
I've been skiing here for over 7 years in ski club and it's like my second home
Would be terrified of taking family here, not a good place for anyone without years of experience. Inattentive lift operators - personally witnessed an operator take over ten seconds to stop a lift after someone didn't load properly, leading to them falling 20+ feet to the hard snow pack.
I was there for a company event turned away because the front desk people new nothing. no discount, no skiing or tubing for us. That was a real bummer!
Perfect. My girlfriend is 10x better than me at snowboarding. And with the terrain they put next to the easier slopes we could go together
Well groomed hill, fun runs, and reasonable prices. Several weekly deals that decrease the price even more.
Took a snowboarding lesson and had a great experience, friendly staff & skilled teachers! Worth every penny
Their Friday night deal from 9pm-3am is a great way to start the weekend, and all of their staff are friendly and helpful. It would be nice if there was more clarity in regards to closing down at 3am though. My interpretation was that I could be riding down my last run at 2:59am but they start shutting certain lifts down much earlier and there isn t really anything clearly communicating which runs close early etc.
Went here for their late night special. It was my first time skiing and I was able to learn on the smaller hills as well as try out the big ones.
A little ski area but they make the most of what they got. December 1, 2017 Ltd runs but it s open.
Trails were well groomed despite the heat up from the days previous.
The bar and restaurant inside had great food that came out fast. The Texas chili tots were delicious. The service was friendly as well.
I was there with a school group and the volunteers were so kind and patient with a student who was slow to learn. I was very impressed.
Really nice vibe and good trails and late nights super cool.
One of my favorite places to ride! The terrain is decent for the Midwest and the staff is fun and friendly!
We did the zip line tour and ropes course. Friendly staff, nice course and scenery. A bit pricey, which is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. If you found a groupon, or another coupon that would be ideal. Support fun though, give or a shot. Fun place to ski or snowboard in the winter as well.
Was good time great employees. Lost my food order and only got a small pizza for 6 people. Would of gave a 5 star but had a bad dinner experience. They did wave the bill of small pizza and 1 beer, Thank you. Will definitely eat first if I ever go back.
I go to Trollhaugen every Friday for their $20 9pm-3am late nights! Great staff, great runs, and a great time for those of all experience levels!
Cheap drinks (under $3) reasonable price Friday nights.
Always a great time for a Friday night. Good price on the lift ticket and a friendly bar.
Tons of fun snowboarding here, bars are fairly priced, and the food is amazing. Not to mention, it's only 20 bucks on Friday nights
Wish the ski hills would have been groomed wasn't even there 2 minutes girlfriend hit the ground hard broke her collarbone. Knowing that there is going to be that many people there from 9 to 3 a.m. you would think they would have stopped and took an hour out of their day to make sure that the hills are ready for Friday night. Had fun mine is having to go to the ER but Hills were quite dangerous for beginners in my eyes!
The only bad thing about the friday night lifts is that people get too intoxicated and the lifts stop to kich because people are falling because they are rushed.
My wife and I went here for Friday night skiing. Hadn't been here for 20 years. Very impressed with the condition of the lodge. Had a nice view of the mountain. Very clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend the hot chips. The bar served good beer and mixed drinks. Service throughout was excellent. We had a great "date night"!
