Tia Heights hotel and Resort Review

Very big hotel -rosort. Theres a cover swiming pool and many open pools as well. By entering the sea at the beach You can enjoy the real exotic raf. Many restaurants so the best option is to get all inclusive option. Good for children and for older people as well. One will not disturbed another. I recomended highly.

Very bad village I do not recommend anyone visit, Bad treatment, The village is very crowded, especially Egyptians and foreigners Fewer in the village than, the levels of people there is very low, eating Poor, labor there is very little and that led to a noticeable decrease

Hotel is closing down soon. Seems before it was great, but not now. Service is bad, food awful, staff don't care of quests.

Aqua Park is okay, food is mediocre to below average, cleanliness is good but rooms are quite aged

Where to begin. Location itself is lovely the pools and the beach are nice however the entire hotel is absolutely terrible.

Food is not five stars at all and I mean zero stars, heck minus stars. Its bland, tasteless and raw and I mean gave me food poisoning raw. The staff are all rude and unhelpful. The guy I showed my raw chicken too (Mohsin) offered to put it back on the grill?!?!?! Seriously? I cannot make a single comment on the quality of food that is positive. All the water served in bottles is warm and every soft drink served is also warm. They actually said they have no ice? What hotel in this climate runs out of ice? I laid in bed for a few days then got charged 26 GBP for medication to fix it. Still not at my best and won't be till I'm home I imagine. Not an apology or a rep making contact.





Visitors get treat differently based on the skin colour and I can quite honestly say the staff treat us second rate. I would never ever ever stay here again with my family or anybody. I hope they read this review and I've thoroughly informed anybody who is even thinking about staying here

A horrible experience...!! No water was found in toilets..!! The food quality is unacceptable. .. The restaurant is sooo crowded that you have to wait in lines to get a table, to have a dish and to have your food...!! You also have to wait in lines to slide in the Aqua Park which has dirty pools and an awful odour .. Complaining is useless..!! The worst vacation ever...!!!

Great location in makadi bay sandy long Beach with horse ridding so nice bars on the beach with warm swimming pools for adults and children .excellent restaurants with great puffet delicious food . Nice and comfirtabl rooms .great big aqua park .In such hotel you will never feel time and you will only have good and happy memories

Rooms are clean
The aqua park is amazing new slides to go.
It is recommended not to visit when the hotel is full. The aqua park with contain long waiting lines.
I personally didn't like the food. Other wise the hotel is great

Very bad service and Crappy room quality, everything is super expensive making it a very boring stay with nothing to do . This is most definitely not a 5 star hotel. The only good thing about this crappy hotel is the Waterpark.

I'll start by saying that I'm being extremely kind by giving this hotel 2 stars. We stayed from 02/04/2018 to 09/04/2018, 5 people, myself, my partner, daughter aged 7 and parents in law aged 74 and 75.We were taken to our rooms which were an absolute disgrace! Not worth a single star. They were up two flights of stairs, no lifts, my father in law has difficulty walking never mind climbing stairs. The whole place was falling apart. Cracks in the tile around the bath and looked so dated. Nothing like the 5 star pictures on the beach use to describe/advertise the place.
It was so tiny you couldn't even fit the two single beds that were in there and we needed a 3rd bed for my daughter to be put in the room. When it arrived it was a camp bed that was falling apart. That was the final straw! I wasn't going to let her sleep on that for a week.
We went to reception and asked to see the manager. I explained that we'd paid for a 5 star hotel called Tia Heights not Cascata where we were. I was told I'd have to pay 16USD a night per room more for Tia heights and I lost it! I said I wanted to see someone who can do something about this as my paperwork had 5 stars Tia heights. Eventually a manager had us moved to the Dunes still not in the main building and up a steep bank for one night as there would be rooms becoming available the next evening a 3 min walk from the main building, Tia heights. We agreed. When we got there the rooms were only slightly better, definitely not 5 star. 3 at best. The main difference was that it was bigger and already had the 3 beds in. But we couldn't completely unpack as we were moving the next day which was annoying. The rooms we moved to the following day were the same, but on flat ground and a 3 minute walk from the main building. Finally we could unpack at start our holiday.
We met a man called Ahmed who really looked after us and got us a table at the sea food and Italian restaurant every night and got us steak or whatever we wanted that wasn't on the menu, for a small tip at times but he refused it just as much. He just wanted us to enjoy the holiday I think. He reserved us a table in the entertainment theatre and made sure someone was getting us drinks etc. Same as when we were by the pool, someone brought drinks over and ice cream etc as we tipped him daily. If it wasn't for Ahmed sorting things for us it would have been worse! The main restaurant which we went to only on the first night can only be described as a zoo! The food was terrible and it was chaos, people jumping queues etc. We had to go there for breakfast every morning and it was like a zoo then too but at least we only had to suffer it once a day!
The aircon stopped working in our room after only 2 nights! Fixing it was a hassle for them and they were reluctant to move us. We complained about the aircon everyday from Thursday till Saturday then we gave up and had the doors open at night.
There was also a waiter who came to harass us as we tried to relax by the pool on our second day as my mother in law had bought a brandy which was not part of the all inclusive. She'd paid a fiver for it but because of the communication issues she'd misunderstood that each shot was a fiver and she'd had two put in her glass! So the waiter came to find her an hour later by the pool. He could hardly explain what the issue was. He went back to get his manager and they both went on and on about it. They eventually left us alone after we decided not to talk to them after half an hour of arguing. We were harassed later on about this issue as we sat down for drinks in the lobby. It's hard to believe that a hotel that size couldn't let a fiver go!
To top it all off 4 of us had bad tummies from the food and drink, we suspect, on our last night. It started a day earlier for my mother in law. She was treated for gastroenteritis the day we arrived back in the UK and it lasted for 6 days. Everyone else had it for 3 to 4 days. This hotel was mis sold as a 5 star by on the beach.

Dirty hotel. Food poisoning is normal. Is too big like a village and they cant look after it.

Fantastic friendly hotel excellent staff who cannot do enough for you to enjoy your holiday.have returned again in june fantastic better than last time if its of interest have a facebook group of friends of Tia heights makaidi bay Hurghada come and join us the reviews on trip advisor do not do it justice ! Room tip Lagoon rooms always out of this world .

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in !!! The rooms are very small and need a lot of updating, the cleaning is also very poor . I moved furniture out to find piles of dust and hair.
The food is poor and I had food poisoning from day 1. The drinks are warm and served in tiny plastic cups, they never have ice .
The hotel is a 40 minute drive from hughurda town so you really are stuck in 1 location unless you want to cover taxi costs .
The only plus to this hotel is the pool is nice and so is the beach, but sun beds are broken and lots of tiles are around the pool .......

Worest service in comparison to the classification as five star hotel or the money I paid 150$ nt. The smell of restaurants, kitchens is awful, staff not trained and the look and smell so bad even some times try to their best. I won't go there ever.

I was very sad to leave this hotel, I 'll also become a regular customer. The staff are the best. Kind friendly, helpful and useful. Animation team is great entertainment. Rooms were clean and very nice. Food was okay. View is great. They speak Russian, German and English. Nothing compare to any hotel in Europe with this price

This has to be the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. This is never a five star, The food is disgraceful, the drinks are very cheap, the rooms are in desperate need of repair. The location to beach is great and the beach is 100%.

REALLY BAD... The hotel building is great but workers are so unpolite and unhappy to help you. Even on reception they dont know english. Everyone of the people working there wont finish job that they are payed for until you give them a tip... Really bad i wouldnt reccomend.

NEVER A 5 STAR HOTEL MAYBE 2-3 AT BEST. Speaking from experience in Egypt this Hotel is poor. Just got back this morning from a 2 week stay, Yes its cheap and cheerful but the 5 stars are far from a reality. You can find a fault around the complex within every meter you walk whether it be broken tiles on the floor outside to wires hanging out of the light sockets in the KIDS SWIMMING POOL! etc etc.
Everything is worn out.

At first we had to go to different rooms as cleaning standards in Egypt are not good. The manager was great though and all the staff are good. The Italian was very good staff very friendly and nothing was any trouble. The facilities are good the food is good and there is loads to book from hotel. Water slide park attached was really good and quads leave felm right in front of hotel. All in all I would go back. I would reccomend doing the safari into desert and also the swimming with dolphins. You can negotiate these prices.

Dirty, falling apart, corruption everywhere.

On EACH step you may take dozens of photos like I did. Staff cheats on everything - on drinks (diluted if you won't tip), on food (3 slices of cheese/pancakes for Europeans, full plate for Arabic speaking).

Don't waste your time and money

What was once a good hotel, now succumbs under bad management, lack of renovation and non-existent service. Remote location plasters any visitor to a cultivated boredom and lackluster in-house cultural (sic!) agenda. To be fair, sandy seabed with inclusions of living corals (exclusive to this hotel amongst neighbouring ones) is quite a treat.

Great location, excellent staff, hotel fine, a bit tired looking inside rooms but clean. Food was the only real issue, very samey and little choice but it was edible. This will need working on to keep people coming. Pool and water park great. We had a lovely time.

One of the best resort in Egypt, all the main amenities are available on site in the resort, and there is an endless activities that can be done, from snorkeling, diving, horse riding, tennis, even a disco with karaoke, definitely recommend it if travelling to Hurghada

If I could rate this hotel it would be at -6 Star it is the worst hotel I have ever been It has been a true horror story ,

Book for 15 days on day 2 I ask for a refund and our booking agent refuse .
Not would they provide a replacement hotel

We got a room on arrival broken bed , the room was not even close to be ready the room was dirty

The 2 second room was even worst state and the 3er one was a non starter,

The forth room , a manager asure me he would personally take care of it this supposed to be a better room, but that became a bisapointment it was the same type of room , but Ben worst it wasn't clean some one had smoked in the room I couldn't take that room as a non smoker nor would I take my children in there.. also it look like the previous guess party really hard as there 2 beds where broken....

when as for new ones in the room the cleaner say they didn't have enough for all the rooms

In the restorants all way had to wait for plates as they ran out quickly... Sometime had to wait from 10 to 15 min

- drinking water in the rooms was a problem

We needed to go and hunt for this thing ever we found a trolly we raded it.

The waiters have uncordinatce service , at the beach you can wait up 25 min to get service they don't permit you to get the food your self , don't expect to get drinks could every thing is like Te hier cola, bear, coctails etc.

Only if you give them money the get you ice !

3 more days and I'm goin back home , is the first time I can wait to get In that plain to go home

Dont be disillusioned by the photos that are posted by travel agents. This hotel is 2-3 star at best. Not 5 star to which it is being advertised as and which I've been welcomed too for the last 10yrs of travelling to egypt. This is without a doubt the worst hotel I've stayed at throughout my whole Egyptian travels. Although the hotel is being sold on, at present it would more suit the name of tear heights. Very disappointing to say the least

TIA heights makady was a true 5 star hotel , but this became a history. During my first visit to this hotel I found it very special , clean and very quiet which is suitable for a family vacation. Policies had been changed and now it doesn t deserve even 3 stars. The hotel is not clean , housekeeping is bad and food doesn t match the 5 stars rankings. The hotel is always noisy. Making your stay better depends on personal relations in that hotel. Not recommend for family visits.
